When quizzed by pal, Jeremy Hart, whether Los Angeles had a “natural” track within its geography, comedian and erudite car nut Jay Leno immediately mentioned the famous Mulholland drive. Scene of countless unofficial races and personal testing sessions, Mulholland seemed the perfect venue to flog the latest AMG offering, their spectacular new SLS AMG.
We present some images and the video of this clever project.

Jay Leno, a new SLS and the twisty Mulholland drive, a gearhead's dream shoot! Red SLS proved to be a noisy beast with a more raucous exhaust note than the SLR.

This is what the new SLS looks like on a real road absent any computer enhanced background. Quite an agressive persona, and noisy too.

Turning the 3,700 lb SLS into a bend in the early morning sun. Ever wonder how these cool shots are captured? Have a look at the next shot.

It's easy - if you have the correct equipment and a manufacturer who doesn't mind you suctioning and taping stuff on the door of their $200k machine.

Yup, Jay's a Mercedes nut and a qualified SLR co-pilot. It will be interesting if he swaps his SLR for a new SLS.
